Today was an eventful day.

Well I say eventful, but I don’t literally mean it, I just mean that a lot went on inside my brain. I say a lot, but that really means more than usual…

Firstly, I felt stupid. I didn’t know how to turn off a Mac. Eek, that’s pathetic… To put things in perspective, I can turn off a PC - which you have to turn off by clicking ’start’ yet I couldn’t turn off a Mac which is regarded as the PC’s more user-friendly counterpart. But hey, neither could the tech guy who asked me to either, so that’s some consolation, I guess. However, I’m adamant that the fault lies with Apple and not me. I tried everything! Clicking the Apple, pressing File, hitting ALT + F4 and eventually…ahem…I went to the help files but found nothing there when I entered ’shut down.’ So Mr Jobs, if you happen to be reading this post which I’m sure you will some day, please consider documenting how to switch off a Mac in any future releases of your Operating System.

Secondly, while messing around with the new Sony Handycam we got, I wondered how a left handed dude (or dudette to be politically correct :D) would hold a camcorder. There’s a picture of me trying to hold one with my left hand below. If any lefties (or normal people for that matter) have the solution, please do let me know before I manage to see a niche in left-handed camcorders and pursue this business idea.
