I was in Switzerland when it first happened. Bet they charged me that 75p connection fee too!
So apparently, this phone number, supposedly one of the numbers which belong to the sales or customer retention departments of Vodafone has been calling up loads of Vodafone customers (I’m one, not for much longer though - hopefully) selling a supposedly fake deal.
The number that kept calling me is: 0808 0000 133
It’s been calling me about 4 times a day for the past 2 weeks or so. Only just got round to calling Vodafone customer services today though who confirmed it was a scam. They couldn’t block the number - but they did tell me what I could do.
So what now if you’re having the same problem?
You can try calling Vodafone Customer Services but that’s unlikely to be much help.
Instead, call the Telephone Preference Agency on 0845 0700 707.
If you’re in the same mess as me (Let’s blame Vodafone as usual ;)), let’s hope it gets sorted after calling these guys!
